Inappropriate gif option in teams?
- Dec 18, 2019
Hi,
Microsoft does not manage these gifs, it is handled by an external service called Giphy. So reporting it to Microsoft won't help you. And changing policy to Strict will not stop this GIF, it will still be there.
Giphy uses the MPAA rating (Y, G, PG, PG-13, and R) and the GIF you sent is rated G. G = "GENERAL AUDIENCES" (Nothing that would offend parents for viewing by children.). Strict will not remove gifs rated G.

- ClifffertonApr 28, 2023Copper ContributorI'm joining this conversation several years late. Teams currently uses Y ratings for its strict moderation. Was it different back in 2019? Y= "Young Audiences" wouldn't that be more restrictive than General audiences?
- Dec 18, 2019Haha you know, I caught up on Tom Arbuthnot's blog tonight about Gif's (Blocking and Filtering Giphys in Microsoft Teams, why do IT spoil all the fun?). Should have read it earlier shouldn't I. Been sitting in my Inbox since February :S
