How to prevent users from Joining Private groups without invite
Recently we noticed that user in our tenant are able to join private Teams channels with out an invite to join the private groups/channel.
I am trying to investigate how this was possible and i am unable to reproduce the problem.
Has anyone notice this behavior in your tenant.
Any suggestions on how to find out how the users where able to join ?

- Check your audit logs. Most likely someone added them to the Team because they linked them to a file in underlying SharePoint and an owner added to the group or also there is new access requests basically for accessing a Team if you have a link to that Team but in both case someone has to approve it.
- Where are the audit logs to check for this?
- Agree here, there is not other way to join a private Team that being added /approved by an Owner
