How to disable SharePoint TeamSite access for Students

Hello,
We have not given SharePoint access to our school students but they are able to access SharePoint TeamSite.
Is it because they have been given Microsoft Teams access?

      This is a really good point.  I have misread this post as wanting to explicitly prevent access to a SharePoint Teamsite, as opposed to it being accessible as a byproduct of having access to MS Teams.

        Thanks for the reply.

         

        But we need to set certain settings so that Site Contents or Settings Gear icon on SharePoint Online should be hidden and students can not see any internal system files.

        How can this be achievable?

    Hi, this could be because the Team Site Members or Site Visitors group has a membership set as Everyone except external users.

     

    You can check this from your Team Site by clicking the cog wheel and choosing Site Permissions as shown below; 

     

    Then look in each of the Team Site Groups as shown below;
