How to disable SharePoint TeamSite access for Students

Teams relies on SharePoint, turn off SharePoint and Teams won't work.

This is a really good point. I have misread this post as wanting to explicitly prevent access to a SharePoint Teamsite, as opposed to it being accessible as a byproduct of having access to MS Teams.

  But we need to set certain settings so that Site Contents or Settings Gear icon on SharePoint Online should be hidden and students can not see any internal system files.

    SUPARNA KANSAKAR you can't prevent access to Site Contents, but if they are members of a Team they will no have access to Site Settings already (only Owners).
