How to deploy Bot App for all user microsoft Team
I had one bot app test ok , now I want roll out for all user can see bot and chat .please guide help me deploy it
- Hi Tien Ngo Thanh
Is this a custom bot that you have created?
If so, upload it to the Tenant via the desktop client in the app store, you have to ensure that you have upload apps on within the Teams Admin Centre under org wide app settings which can be found under app permission policies. You need Global Admin or Teams Admin permissions to do so.
Once done, you would define it with the app setup policies. You can do this in few ways
1.) Use the global org wide policy if applying it to all users. You can either specifically enforce it to the app bar (left hand rail) by promoting the bot so it is visible in the pinned app section and save it. The alternative is to simply ensure 'allow user pinning' is turned on meaning that users can search for it and pin it to the app bar if they choose
2.) Use a custom policy if applying for a specific set of users. Again, you can either specifically enforce it in the pinned apps section or give users a choice to pin it by allow user pinning.
Changes to app policies can take 2 - 24 hours after changing them. That is the official time Microsoft gives. The users will likely need to logout/login back into Teams
Hope that answers your question!
