    Well I guess it won't be different on mobile devices. You can save the link to the OneNote Online on Mobile and Tab too.
    Maybe it works even within the app as the latest comment here states:

Maybe you can use the App Mode from Microsoft Edge:

If you create one web app shortcut for each Student it should work.
