A recording was made of a meeting and some information was included in the recording after most people left the meeting and now it needs to be deleted as not all members of the Teams should be able to see the full meeting recording. When meetings were uploaded to Stream I had the ability to go delete recordings or manage access. Now all members of the Team will have the ability to download the recording for 21 days. Is there any way that the file can be deleted immediately? Thanks

Only the person who initiated the recording can delete the recording. This person will need to 'Join' the meeting again > Click 'Show conversation' icon and locate the recording > click the 3 dots and select Delete. swalker_aup Hi, before the new storage location for recordings in Teams (now OneDrive for non-channel meetings and SharePoint for channel meetings) and if not being eligible to use Stream (no license) the Teams recordings ended up in the Azure service with a 21-day limit, accessible from the meeting chat, without being able to delete it no matter if you were the owner. I haven't used the "old experience" in a while so I have no idea if you can actually delete the recording in the above scenario today. But from the comments it appears to still be an issue. @ I too want to know how to delete recording via Teams since there is no button available. In the meant time I remove the access of all my audiences to the video.

    Simply look at your recorded file and select move it ...send it to your file and from there... Delete...Voilà and goodluck! Miamilifelover

Recorded meetings are now stored in SharePoint. For Chat and Meet Now meetings, they are stored in your own OneDrive / Recordings, for channel meetings they are stored in the channel's SharePoint / Recordings. Just browse to the .mp4 and edit/delete/share as required.

Click General in the team, Choose Files tab , you will see the recordings in a folder named Recordings.
Choose the one you want to delete and press delete

  Users won't need a Microsoft Stream license assigned if you want users to only record and download the recordings. This will mean that the recordings aren't stored in Microsoft Stream but are instead stored in Azure Media Services (AMS) with a 21-day limit before it's deleted. It's not something at this point that an admin can control or manage including the ability to delete it.
  
  The scenario above is applicable if not using the new meeting recording storage mode (OneDrive/SharePoint).

I have the same problem. I recorded a quick snip of myself at home, and it posted to the General tab's posts. I want it off. It is short, but I don't want my students to download a video of me at home. Emjay1976
