Group expiration - no emails
I am seeing different behaviors when O365 groups expire.
- If the Group does not have a Team, then the Group owner gets the emails as described in the documentation, https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/users-groups-roles/groups-lifecycle#email-notifications
- However, If the Group has a Team, then an email is NOT sent to the group owner, there is just an icon in Teams to indicate that the owner needs to Renew the Team, which is not consistent with the above documentation or with the docs at https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Renew-a-team-20a9f69d-f336-42bc-8665-c8860a58f716.
I first noticed this in a production tenant and have confirmed it in a demo tenant. Is anyone else experiencing this?
