Google Calendar not syncing in Team - cannot send invites

I have a personal Office365 account and I want to use Teams. I have a google calendar but it is refusing to sync in teams. I get "Can't sync right now. We'll try again soon."  Also, I can't send invites for new meeting from Teams. Any ideas?
