Ghost notifications
Got an employee that still receives notifications for a meeting that no longer exists. Have logged her out then back in, cleared cache, cleared data, re-installed and verified with the owner/creator ...
It sounds like the iPhone calendar app is still holding onto some cached data from the deleted meeting. Even after reinstalling, iCloud or the Exchange calendar can sometimes keep a “ghost” event notification. I’d suggest checking if the event still appears under the “Subscribed Calendars” or “Other” section in the Calendar app, and making sure all calendar accounts are toggled off, then back on again in Settings → Calendar → Accounts. If that doesn’t work, removing the affected calendar account completely from the iPhone, restarting the phone, and then re-adding the account usually clears these lingering notifications.
