Feature Request : Messaging Across Teams to General Channel - Improvement to "@Team" Feature
I am a teacher at a secondary school and use Teams as the core repository for work and coordination of students for all my lessons.
I have an Education Team for all my sets and I often have a number of sets per year group, for example I have two Year 8 sets this academic Year.
All work is set as an assignment containing all the materials the students need to complete the unit. Units can take 2 to 3 weeks to complete.
As a result the "announcement" message feature in the general channel is used to remind students of their homework each week.
- I want to be able to set the announcement in Set A's team and use the "post to multiple channels feature" to have the message sent to Set B's team at the same time - however I cannot use the @team feature to alert the members of both teams as when I type the phrase in I only ever get offered the team name of Set a (or obviously vice-versa if creating the message in Set B and cross posting to Set A)
The alert is vital and it would be really useful to @team to all the relevant teams when cross positing a announcement or conversation between Teams. The inability to call up both team names means I have to manually post in each team which is a faff.
Id be grateful if you could have a think about maybe including this feature
Thanks
Paul
