Fast user switching in desktop launched? I had access to two different teams in desktop.
Hi,
I made a free teams account and i was inviting members. Some did not get an email, so i did invite my work email for testing purposes, which also is part of a team at work.
Suddenly there is a new "fast switching" function next to my profile photo in teams, where i open the other team. Nice, was my first tought, finally some option to be logged into multiple teams.
However, there is no settings to control this. Nowhere to add more accounts, and nowhere to remove accounts.
Where are we supposed to add more teams to our app? I cannot invite my work-email to join other teams, as i do not control all of them, i just have an account....

- You can remove or leave organizations you've been invited to through the app portal. Here is the documentation on leaving an organization. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/b2b/leave-the-organization
Joining happens as soon as you get invited to another tenants as a guest.- kimhaakCopper ContributorSorry, i have never seen that interface, dont know if it is accessible even. I do not want to invite between teams, just log into all of my teams from the same interface. Sort of like Outlook is for multiple mail accounts.
I am waiting for this, and i tought they finally had delivered, after a VERY long time:
https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/17750851-i-want-to-use-multiple-teams-accounts-at-the-same- No Fast user switching is a separate pre-requisite. They are still working on Multi account, which is not originally what you were talking about in your original post :p. If you use Mobile Teams app however, they already do have multi account launched there which has both account and tenants each account is invited / part of listed. I expect Desktop to have a similar instance when it comes out.

Aha, i see.
We'll just have to wait for the real deal then. Surprising MS not yet has catched up, this is such a basic feature...

kimhaak I think we will see a big improvement in this area during 2020 when Kaizala is integrated as a part of Teams.
Read about it here:

Hm, maybe you're right, but i dont see why kaizala should bring us a multi-account feature.
I know they are working on it officially, but they do not update the progress...
I just want teams to be like a mail client, with however many accounts as i want/have. And to be able to add/remove them just as easily. Maybe the teams client is written in such a way that that is difficult, but the biggest software company in the world should be able to fix this...They have been "working on it" for a really long time now.
- JBergqvistBrass ContributorWith free teams account you mean the consumer variant? I think it is annoying that the freemium and personal variant becomes an own tenant or is represented as such in teams. This could have been dealt with in a much better way.
Just as Linus saying the switch is to switch tenant environments. Between Your own tenant plus those you are a registered guest of. Hi,
The drop-down with organisations next to your profile picture lets you switch between Teams organisations that you have been invited to as guest.
So you sign in to your organisation with your user account (userA@orgA.com) and you work in orgA in Teams. userA@orgA.com is then invited to OrgB, userA will then see orgA and OrgB.
So the only way to see more organisations in the drop-down is to be invited to them as Guest, when you are invited as guest to OrgC your will see that organisation in the drop-down too. You can't add control this, it is only when you are invited they are shown here.
