Excel open in teams vs app
I'm sure anyone who has used teams and office for 5 minutes has found the many frustrating anomalies that come up from teams not being able to run features, or apparently even keep track of where things are on a page.
Problem I have, I can't guarantee colleagues are going to open things in desktop app and it is causing grief with spreadsheets. Especially with teams reading all dates as American. I've fixed that one by just taking all the context sensitive parts of dates out of spreadsheets. Of course, now more typos slip through so I end up chasing those through.
I have a workbook that is just not going to function if people keep opening it in teams. How can I lock the file so it will only open in the desktop app? I can set my teams up to default open files there but I can't work out making a file only open that way regardless of user.
Is anyone able to help me?
