Error downloading Microsoft Teams

Hi, Just got a new "acer" lap top and trying to download Microsoft Teams to do my school work from home starting on Monday. It won't download and I get this message "installation has failed". Then it says Check the setup log for more information and contact the author" There is nothing in the setup log. Can anyone help please?
