RobertWPBI had the same problem on W10. Ran teams in compatibility mode as W7 and worked on first try.

RobertWPB I found that the desktop we had experiencing this issue, there were too many sign-in option accounts within the settings. Upon removing all the accounts that are no longer used I was able to sign into a new account on the machine.
