Download Audio Recording Only
Hello, after a Microsoft Teams meeting, we want to download the audio recording only, not the video recording. The video recordings are too large in file size. Your competitor Zoom provides the option...

It’s of course rather easy to separate the audio after download, but requires the larger download and the time 😕

I've found the solution guys!! I've been trawling these forums for a year now.
Teams has an built in function but very well hidden.
You still record the meeting (video and all) as usual. It will be saved in your OneDrive under "Recordings". when you open it you can choose to edit it, it will take you to the editing platform Microsoft Clipchamp. Give it time to load (my recording was 1.5hours). Once loaded, select the entire clip, and there is an option on the top right to "Detach Audio".
I clicked it and 2 mins later a mp3 audio file, same name as original, appeared in my OneDrive. I've checked it, all audio, no video.
