Desktop version not working: only online!
- Apr 03, 2020
I everybody, I fixed the issue by updating windows from 8.1 to 10 (I had a license).
Hope this would help!
Thank you
Hi D4niela
maybe you can try to uninstall Teams and delete the files and folders in the following locations followed by a fresh install:
%localappdata%\Microsoft\Teams\
%localappdata%\Microsoft\TeamsMeetingAddin
%appdata%\Microsoft\Teams
%LocalAppData%\SquirrelTemp
You can enter those names directly in the address bar in the explorer and then delete the files/folders from there.
Regards,
Paul

Thank you for your reply.
Unfortunately, I followed you suggestions and re-installed the desktop version, but as I start a call, it crashes and restart itself.
Any other solution?

I could think of a driver issue or may be the firewall.
What setup are you using? Laptop with integrated camera? Are you using a headset? What devices have you configured in Teams? Does the behavior change if you unplug them or change devices in Teams settings?

Does it also crash if you make a test call in the teams audio/video settings? How to do this is also mentioned in the link above.- D4nielaMar 28, 2020Copper Contributor
As for the firewall, I've already added teams.exe to the allowed app. I've also tried to stop Windows firewall and make a test call: doesn't work anyway.
As for the rest, as soon as I try to change the Settings or to make a test call in the desktop version, the app crashes and restart itself. However, the listed audio/video devices are correct.
I use a Asus laptop with integrated camera and no headset.
Thank you...
