Dataverse for Teams on custom Teams Tab

Hi, Teams Developers,

I'm currently building a custom teams tab and I need a database to store data. I was wondering if there are other ways to surface Dataverse for Teams data to a custom tab (as Dataverse for teams still doesn't support API).
