Create Teams button missing

Hi

I have just started using Teams, and want to create a team for my family to manage a family apartment...

BUT the Create Teams button is not available on the LHS, only Chat, Calendar, Activity... 

 

How do I get this button to show up?

    It sounds like you are using the free consumer version of Teams, it somewhat ironically doesn't allow you to create Teams, that's only in the enterprise edition. It does allow you to create conversations around a topic like I guess managing your apartment.

      Thanks for the response... and my God, how lame can it be! There is no hint of that limitation anywhere, and surely the software knows what kind of account I have (as I'm logged in). 

       

      Anyway, back to slack then
