Create Different News Items That Appear In Different Channels

Is it possible to categorise a news item created in my Team and have it only appear in a specific channel in my Team.  So my Team has channels for General, Operations, Assembly, Machining.  I want to create News items for all that appear in General, then create other News that only appear in the specified channel depending on its equivalent category ...

    Hello Garry Rawlins   I don't know of a way to automate that process.  What I do is "Post in multiple channels," where I can select the specific channels I want an announcement or conversation to be posted.
