Contact list no longer available in new Teams version
When new teams go live, can I keep using the old version? The new version only has a chat list and no contact list. I regularly use my contact list to determine if someone is in the office. ...
The people app is still not a replacement for contacts. It still very much feels like an afterthought at best. As we use Teams as our phone system the receptionist was frustrated by the people app to the point she is one of many that have been rolled back to the classic version.
The people app may not be the same as the old contacts. Its at 2 extra clicks to get to the person and start the chat. May be somewhat less convenient but isn't a show-stopper. It is now in-line with other chat apps, both enterprise and consumer.
I think those that don't like the new People app as its not integrated into the main page, should make a new discussion thread.

hps_steveyour assuming all people use it for is chat. You may use it that way but don't assume that is the only way people use it because for us it isn't anything to do with chat.
