Changing the organiser of a Teams Meeting
- Nov 26, 2021
PatrickP2021 The co-org. meeting role is about to rollout. You have the roadmap id above.
This is what to expect.
Co-organizers will be displayed as additional organizers on the meeting roster, and they will have most of the capabilities of an organizer in the meeting.
Co-organizers can do the following:
- Access and change meeting options
- Bypass the lobby
- Admit people from the lobby during a meeting
- Lock the meeting
- Present content
- Change another participant’s meeting role
- End the meeting for all
Co-organizers cannot do the following:
- Create & manage breakout rooms
- View & download attendance reports
- Manage the meeting recording
- Edit the meeting invitation
- Remove or change the Organizer role
ChristianJBergstrom We have a weekly meeting set in teams but the person who set this up is no longer with the company and I need to make myself the Organizer. Is this something that can be done or how can the series be canceled so I can redo the meeting series.
ChristianJBergstrom - I tried to find a topic to upvote, but the link provided earlier by one of the responses does not lead to any voting. Is there any existing topic we could upvote? I mean people are coming and leaving and workaround to cancel and recreate recurring meetings when someone leaves the team (not the company!) is not a solution. That way we also loose meeting chat history etc.
So this would really be very appreciated if some activity would be done to be able to change meeting organizer.
