Changing the organiser of a Teams Meeting
- Nov 26, 2021
PatrickP2021 The co-org. meeting role is about to rollout. You have the roadmap id above.
This is what to expect.
Co-organizers will be displayed as additional organizers on the meeting roster, and they will have most of the capabilities of an organizer in the meeting.
Co-organizers can do the following:
- Access and change meeting options
- Bypass the lobby
- Admit people from the lobby during a meeting
- Lock the meeting
- Present content
- Change another participant’s meeting role
- End the meeting for all
Co-organizers cannot do the following:
- Create & manage breakout rooms
- View & download attendance reports
- Manage the meeting recording
- Edit the meeting invitation
- Remove or change the Organizer role

ChristianJBergstrom I believe all the "cannot" are the most essential functions required for co-orgs. It really doesn't seem there is a need for the "rollout" as what is needed is still restricted to just the organizer.
- Feb 03, 2022Agree that it would be awesome if you could change the organizer but still you can set up a meeting without the organizer present by using Teams meeting roles/Teams meeting options. Co-org. Role just makes it even simpler.

ChristianJBergstrom - I have a meeting series that was created by one of the owners of a team in a Team's General Channel. That person has now left the company and the other owners of the team are not able to download the attendance report. We also had a huge issue today where attendees were clicking on the same link and being directed to two different meetings - one the actual meeting and one a cancelled series. Is there a way as the Owner of a team to download the attendance report of the meeting that was created by the separated employee or does the series need to be cancelled and rescheduled?
- Mar 09, 2022You've just answered your own question in the last sentence. But I'm afraid you have to reach to an administrator for help with a cancellation.
