Change scroll size to entire right side instead of little blob so it's easier to use.

How can I change the scroll bar to the entire right side instead of just a little blob? My full-time coworkers sometimes chat back & forth a lot and being just part time, the small scroll blob makes it harder to find my place on the page.  Any suggestions?
