can't find option for full screen after update

The most recent update to teams moved the controls to the top but seems to have removed the ability to show the meeting in full screen. We do a lot of code sharing and depend on the ability stretch to full screen to make the code easier to read.

  • rmhartman,
I just tested the True Full Screen for Screen Sharing function and it does give you a True Full Screen. Some Control Functions are maintained in the small User Image Window which can be repositioned easily.

Very frustrating. With COVID my son is doing kindergarten online and I use full screen mode everyday because it’s the only way to block out the other kids and only focus on the teacher! This makes it very hard to continue school as my son focuses on the fidgety kids. -_____-

Focus mode should remove the other kids ... but the controls remain at the top of the screen.  I need full screen for reading as best I can when others share their screens.  But for just removing the other participants from the display, Focus will do what you need.

KeeseKeese Focus mode should help with this as it hides the carousel of the other attendees from the bottom of the view.

Focus mode is under the three dots menu ("..." next to the raise hand button) on the popped out meeting window.

I Agree, the balance between the updated version and the previous is negative. I can easily survive using previous version. but not in this one.

Yes, this is a big miss while introducing new feature removing some important feature is not helping us.

Focus mode is much lesser comparing to full screen share.

I would really like the full screen option to come back. The focus option is not as good and it also keep toggling off

Wrong. It's fundamentally a different feature. It does not go full screen. It does not even make the window larger. It just minimizes some of the bars, but the actual content maxes out at 70% of the display, and only if the user then clicks maximize on the window.

It is clunky, arcane, and does not make the shared content even close to full screen (70% is not "close" -- try it before sweeping requests under the rug or implicating that a vastly, vastly inferior and unrelated feature is anywhere like proper full-screen support).

Every other client has this. To display screens 1:1 in an organization without scrunching or scaling artifacts, at the size intended for the monitor, full screen is required.
