can't find option for full screen after update
Sounds right. "Full-screen" has nothing to do with overlays.
In full-screen mode during screen sharing (the most important use for full-screen mode), there cannot be:
- Any title bar at the top
- Any taskbar at the bottom
- Any blank space at the top or sides of the screen (when the sharer's screen ratio matches yours)
The maximum size of a shared screen in the clunky new "focus" mode is woefully insufficient. The old Teams view allowed the user to select the breadcrumb menu and hit "full-screen" mode during screen sharing, which indeed takes over your entire screen with the entire screen of the person who is sharing. This is critically important when working on documents in realtime where fonts can be small and viewers can't afford any blurring or downscaling artifacts.
I will point out something which I believe I pointed out a long time ago. One person on this thread was complaining about needing Full Screen because of the small print otherwise. It may have been you but don't remember. That person was stating they used Laptops at his organization which I agree would be difficult to read especially when you don't have Full Screen turned on. However, I pointed out that many organizations and just plain home users like me don't all use Laptops. In organizations some people may use Laptops and other like myself at home use Desktop Tower Systems with a comparatively Larger Monitor in relation to a Laptop Screen. On the larger Monitors, the lack of a Full Screen may not be as bad as it would be with a Laptop Screen. But it would still be better to have Full Screen in either situation because some screens can still be pretty small print.
