Still no progress on that for more than one year now?
It is not acceptable that I permanently have to logout and restart Teams, especially when this happens during a group meeting.

Markus_Kreller I had exact same issue. When I went to Teams settings the File open preference was set to Desktop app. I changes to "Teams" and it resolved the issue. Now I click on any image and it zooms perfectly. Hope this works for you

I am having the same problem. Cannot zoom pictures in Teams on Windows 10.

longanice That isn't an acceptable solution to provide my users - Msft needs to fix this.

My fix was not related to the language settings, but rather the GPU acceleration option.
In settings for Teams, check the Disable GPU hardware acceleration option, restart Teams and it will resolve this issue. You can re-enable GPU acceleration by un-checking that option and a perform a quick restart of Teams. - Eric_B2320Copper ContributorI also had this issue on my Windows 10 desktop ver of Teams... why oh why did changing the language of the App to a non US - English language and then back fixes it? So weird...
- Bruno FariaCopper Contributor
Eric_B2320 I don't think changing the language is what fixes the problem, but the restart after you do that does. Next time, just close and open the app again without changing the language and see for yourself that it fixes the issue. The problem will come back though and then you have to restart again. It's not like this will fix forever. I keep waiting for a patch for this, but I'm thinking it's unlikely to come at this point as this has been around for ages. Maybe this is not affecting a lot of people to make them care.

As a developer using Teams to collaborate, we share screenshots daily and boy not being able to zoom in images is a real issue in terms of productivity and speed lol. Thankfuly this fixed my issue by restarting teams using the language trick.

ctcarch all working here as well.

Here also. Microsoft did an update in the background? This is one reason i normally prefer local services and not SAS or cloud services...
- Dipesh AminCopper ContributorAwesome! Worked like a dream for me. Thank you!!
- mattchowellIron Contributor
Dipesh Amin This needs to be fixed properly and permanently by Msft. It's absurd that we have to waste our time with all these home-cooked hacks. I've seen this intermittently since we started using Teams 2 years ago and Msft has done nothing.
- JordanStewartCopper ContributorThis also worked for me! Thanks Marty81
- The_NightriderCopper ContributorConfirmed same issue on Windows 10 desktop version of Microsoft Teams no picture preview zoom. Click and zoom an image sent by another user results in default image icon.

Robin Nilsson You were evaluating options a year ago. Did you ever pick an option to solve it? We are still struggling with this issue.
- Tanya DentonIron Contributor
Robin Nilsson I think more than Teams has broken, this is what i get going to Admin Centre
- Tanya DentonIron Contributor
ctcarch Just broke mine as well by updating my Team app lol. I wonder if they have accidentally released code in the update that relates to the up and coming 'Private Channels'?
