Cannot view files in Teams

I installed Teams in new laptop. The version is 1.3.00.30866 for 64 bit. I cannot view files shared between conversations (chat) or channels. I uninstalled and installed multiple times. On fresh install, the files would open and I can update (shared mode). After a while, previewing fails and I get the spinning wheel. This happened every time after install. Any advice? I don't want to keep uninstalling and re-installing Teams.
