Cannot register for Teams

I have registered for Microsoft Teams, however after downloading the application and attempting to sign in it has resulted in the error message 

 

You're not on Teams yet, but you can set it up for your organization.

 

I have been prompted to set up a new log in, to which I use my regular username for all my Microsoft applications. This results in it logging me in and directing me to the application where I am greeted with the same error message as before. 

 

The cycle continues.

 

I have a job interview on this platform in less than 24 hours.

 

Please help.

    You do not need to login to teams to join meetings. You don’t even need to download it. You can use chrome to join the interview anonymously and still use audio and video just fine.

    Also if you have the meeting link you can join it at anytime and make sure you can connect and get into it ahead of time.
