Can we add user inside a private channel who is not member of the office 365 group
I am reading this article about private channels inside Microsoft Teams @ https://sharepointmaven.com/3-types-of-channels-in-microsoft-teams/ .. and the author mentioned that following regarding private channels, which i am not sure if this is still valid:-
You can only invite users who are already a member of the overall Team.
but based on my test , i am able to create a private channel in Teams and add users who are not already members of the overall team... so what is the latest case regarding this? can we add members inside private channels who are not members inside the related office 365 group?
In a private channel, no, the user must be a subset of the Office 365 group.
