Bluetooth audio out stops when using Teams
- Feb 05, 2021
I've been criticizing Microsoft for owning the problem and doing nothing about it. I did follow the suggestion from Sven and updated the driver for my Intel Wireless Bluetooth device. With driver version 22.20.0.3 - 2020-11-27 the problem seem to be there no more.
With that I was wrong in my opinion that Microsoft is to blame for the issue and that you deliberately would ignore the problems caused. I apologize for that.
kind regards

Ruzlan I wish that worked for me - I have two mics that I can use - one on a webcam, the other built into the laptop. When I am on a desktop client meeting it seems to activate call mode on my Bose headphones and kills all desktop audio when this is active. It is either low quality headset mode or no audio at all through BT.
This works perfectly using the web client, which is my ultimate workaround, but I would much prefer to use the desktop client as there are additional features not present on the web client.
sorry forgot to mention another thing. In the settings>devices, you also have to change Speaker from headset to headphones

Same issue here. I have a Sony WH-1000XM4 bluetooth headset.
Audio constantly drops when a new Teams call is made or a call is incoming. I constantly have to go to Teams Settings, Device Settings and toggle between my Realtek audio and Bluetooth devices. Sometimes that does not work. Sometimes just changing the volume or muting from within Device Settings a bunch of times fix it.
I have the latest driver for my MSI GF65 Thin 9SEXR is Intel Wireless Bluetooth 22.150.0.6, however for my WH-1000XM4 properties, it says it is using Microsoft Driver 10.0.22000.778
