Banner pop up for Channel posts
ChrisWebbTech no the issue wasn't resolved but Satish tried hard to help.
We have raised a ticket with Microsoft and they said it's a valid issue and they are working on it

ChrisWebbTech no we are now waiting for a fix as suggested my microsoft support team
- Apr 13, 2020I was told that a fixed should be deployed today that's why I ask. Maybe support hasn't reported? I dunno figured it's worth a try so I can report back to the group.

ChrisWebbTech Hey Chirs, we have done some testing - good news and bad news.
The banner notification now pops up but there are a few issues which I will explain here ( the attached screenshot will also demonstrate the issues).
Although I now receive a banner popup for Posts inside Channels, the popup doesn't come up when I'm a call. Also, the Teams icon on the left (main menu) doesn't show any notification in red circle nor does the notification show on the Channel icon. However, I do see notificaions on Activity icon which is very problematic. For example, if the Activity icon is showing 9 notifications, as soon as I click on one of the first activity message the notification completely disappears as opposed to reducing the number of notifications to 8 (which Skype does). I notice the 8 unread messages have a black dot but that's not useful because some of the unread messages could be a long way down my chats and messages hence the need for showing total number of unread messages or Posts. We are not sure if these issues are by design or bugs but I'm just using common sense and comparing some of the behaviour with Skype.
I am aware that if we use the @sign the recipient will see a personal notification which my team finds very difficult.
I appreciate it's a long description but in short what we are expecting is for the Channel Posts to work in much the same way as Chat individual mesaages or Chat group messages. If I haven't explained things clearly please feel free to ask specific questions.
