Bandwidth requirements for a teams event with 100+ users
I want to organize a event with 100 teams users in a congres centrum.
all users do use video and audio with teams.
how much bandwidth up/down do i need ? . do i need 3Mbps per user up/down ?
- Hi HenRproject
Use the following guide to help
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/prepare-network
Bandwidth(up/down) Scenarios
30 kbps Peer-to-peer audio calling
130 kbps Peer-to-peer audio calling and screen sharing
500 kbps Peer-to-peer quality video calling 360p at 30fps
1.2 Mbps Peer-to-peer HD quality video calling with resolution of HD 720p at 30fps
1.5 Mbps Peer-to-peer HD quality video calling with resolution of HD 1080p at 30fps
500kbps/1Mbps Group Video calling
1Mbps/2Mbps HD Group video calling (540p videos on 1080p screen)
You can use this to work it out
Hope that answers your question
Best, Chris

Thank you.
So most users will use video and audio.
as i see it this would require at least 150Mbps upload for the event assuming most people use HD 1080p
and 50Mbps upload when all use 360p
right ?
i never used Teams , does Teams throttle back resolution when less bandwidth is available , or how to force all users to use low resolution so i do not run into problems as i only have max 50 Mbps upload on location ?
