Authenticator loggin problem after changing into a new iPhone
Struggling procedure to loggin into my Microsoft Teams account at my client's organization after changing my iPhone.
I'm working at an organization A with an formal email address in Microsoft Office365, while this email address is used as a guest to another Microsoft account, organization B, which belongs to my client. The two organizations are both using Microsoft Authenticator.
It was really exciting to receive my new iPhone recently and all APPs was interited into my new iPhone, including Microsoft Authenticator, and the Authenticator requests QR code to update information of my new phone. I succeeded to update my information for organization A however I realized that I forgot my password for organization B, or I did not even set any password for organization B at first because my loggin status at organization A was already the key to loggin organization B. When trying to log in account of organization B and clicking "Forget my password", the website always requests my confirmation on Authenticator which requests the QR code from organization B.
This creats a giant dilemma that, I cannot loggin Authenticator without QR code of organization B, QR code is only available from account of organization B, in the end of the day, I cannot loggin account of orgnization B without confirmation on my Authenticator to get the QR code.
I contacted my clients at organization B, they gave me a website to help register my new iPhone, then it stucked at the same stage of what was described with underline above.
My question to IT pros at Microsoft, or anyone with similar experience: Should my client delete me first and re-invite me into organization B? Is there any better way to solve this problem?
