After upgrading to Windows 11, My Bluetooth headphones work great. However, when I open or go to a Teams meeting the headphones drop out. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Teams, same issue. I have ...

Happy to report that this fixed the issue for me: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/fix-for-bluetooth-headphones-or-speaker-using/7023c43b-c001-42e9-9ec9-95a8f96a4b4c

Most likely this did not fix the issue, like in my case, but just removes the mic from the devices in Teams. You are most likely using your laptop or computer mic, not the mic in the headset. So now when you connect you headset connects for sound, but since the mic on the headset is disabled for hands free, Teams just defaults to your system mic.

Did you find a solution for your issue? I'm still having the same one.
The issue was introduced with Windows 11 Update 22H2. By the looks of things updated Bluetooth drivers for Intel chipsets have fixed the issue, but my Notebook has a Qualcomm chipset, which still has this issue. More than 6 month after the update release.
The solution from deanBEAN (deactivate Audio Sink) is not working for me. The headset/phone can no longer be selected as output device.
The solution from NVader2000 deactivates the top notch microphone of my Jabra headset. Also not a working solution for me.
Currently I need to rollback the Windows Update. This is the only solution that works for me.

- Pit2000Aug 10, 2023Copper ContributorDid you ever figure out a solution? As you outlined, the solutions in this thread weren't really solutions for me.
Deactivating Handsfree Telephony only made me use my laptop mic while playing audio through the headphones. Disabling Audio Sink just unpaired my headphones (Bose QC35). Definitely an issue with desktop Teams and Windows 11, as I did not experience this once on Windows 10. - Ray_WilkinsonrawilkinMay 09, 2023Copper Contributor
TOppenhoff my issue has not been resolved. I have moved on because this was all work work than it was worth. I only use those particular headphones for my Mobile Phone. My Sony WH1000XM3 work as expected in Windows11.

Me too. I retired so I no longer use Teams. Ray_Wilkinsonrawilkin
