Have a workaround, not as elegant a solution but functional. Create a meeting, start it, type in chat, end meeting. Chat remains. Rename it, add/remove members. Voila, topic-based group chats.
yeah, you can create section and have dedicated chats organized, like for daily meeting keeping chat from invitation so its subject- narrowed discussion - still this is about chat organization, not teams and channels. It's kinda about hierarchy - i would prefer and option to have chats inside a channel (mainly for access management) but currently its like both, and with sections channels are down the list, so less and less usable
