Will Microsoft’s Fundraising Template App Be Supported Long-Term?
Since Microsoft retired the Fundraising and Engagement app, they’ve introduced template apps for partners and customers to build solutions. Over the past year, we did lot of customizations on top of the Fundraising and Engagement app, and we’re now considering moving these customizations and needed functionality to the ‘Fundraising’ template app. However, we’re concerned about long-term stability. Can Microsoft confirm if there’s any risk of these templates being retired or delisted? This would help us and others plan with greater confidence.

Yes, it would be helpful if we can get the confirmation from Microsoft regarding this. Considering they have deprecated Fundraising & Engagement app, soon they may also retire the templates. I think its better not to rely more on the "Fundraising" template app as I am not sure about Microsoft's continued commitment to Non Profit sector. If MS would have remained committed, they would not have deprecated the Fundraising and Engagement app, where Non Profits have spent dollars in doing lot of customisations using F&E. This is my personal opinion , but being the Non Profit space for almost a decade now, I see the trend.

Hi Siddiquegu,
Thank you for your very valid question! For the Fundraising Template App, Microsoft hasn't specified an end date for support. It's a good idea to stay updated with Microsoft's announcements and work closely with a Microsoft Partner to ensure your organization's needs are met and to plan for any future transitions.
