Parsing information into Microsoft Forms

We have visitors that fill out an application form in word, the host (staff member) then fills out an online form on Microsoft Forms using this and adding extra information. Is there a way of parsing the information from the word document to part fill out the form to save duplication of effort?

Lorraine_Frost there is no way to pre-populate any information in a form. Requests for this which you can vote for are on the official Microsoft Feedback Portal.

As Rob Elliott mentioned, if you are looking to pre-populate information in a form, there is no such function in Forms today. However, if you are looking for a way to convert your Word form to a Microsoft Form, you can try the 'Quick Import' feature, which allows you to import a form from Word/PDF and convert it to a Microsoft Form.
