Open URL in form in the same Tab

I have three forms. The first shows a link to one of the others two depending on the answers in the first.

Clicking on the link opens the next form in a new tab. All well and good but the original form is left open in the original tab.

Is there anyway to force the linked form to open in the original tab? I know you can force download of sharepoint files with &download=1 at the end of the urls for example, any url modifications that might do this?

Other ideas welcome of course.

Thanks, Sam.

  • In Microsoft Forms, links added to the form will open in a new tab by default. There isn't a built-in setting within Forms to change this behaviour so that links open in the same tab.

If you built a form in Power Apps (if your users are internal) then you can use the launch function and set it to open in the same tab. But with Forms, no.
