Never had a curser in Windows 10?

I've been a lifelong macOS user so I'm not the most experienced man when it comes to Windows, but I've just bought a new custom built gaming PC that I cannot wait to get stuck into but the issue I have is, I've never had a mouse curser since I've booted up, I currently have a Microsoft desktop wireless 900 keyboard and mouse set and I've been using it with my iMac for quite some time now, so they work perfectly but when I plugged it into my PC nothing was picked up. I've tried installing multiple drivers, tried function keys, you name it, but it's almost like the PC I have doesn't have a curser built into the system which is highly frustrating, if anybody has any ideas of what is going on it would be highly appreciated!
