Forms - file upload and sharing issues.

Hello all,

I have created a form to gather some information and would like it to be able to allow file uploads. I keep having errors regarding sharing.

Some more info:

  1. It will allow me to attach files if form is kept in my personal OneDrive, but when I do the same form in the team OneDrive, this is the error I get:
    • Error on page: "To enable sharing, disable the limited access lockdown mode feature on the Site Features page"
    • Error on question: "Sharing by link is not enabled on the web, site, or tenant"
  2. I have combed through the site features and "limited access lockdown" is not enabled

Not sure what else to do.

Screenshot is attached.

roblseaman, did you ever find out what causes this? I just started today to create a form with a question for file upload and to be honest, I'm not sure where to find the settings for "limited access lockdown" as I feel it might be inaccessible in my profile. Thanks.

RussW1341 that feature is locked out for my particular need by administrators. However, I can create a form in my personal one drive and it will accept uploads. Sorry but this is the best I can tell you at this time.

roblseaman thanks for getting back. After I posted this, I did some digging and asked around.

The error that seems to come from all this is "Sharing by link is not enabled on the web, site, or tenant" and the way around this is to add the form to a group instead of just creating it outright where it will post stuff to your OneDrive.

Of course, this means management of who can be in that group, but I suppose that would be the case with sharing files and folders on your OneDrive as well. Necessary steps for security I guess.
