Assigning a numerical value to answers for overall scoring - Employee reviews
Hello,
Is there a way to assign a numerical (grade value) to a specific answer.
I'm trying to create a form for an employee scoring for call monitoring. The choices for each item are "Demonstrated Excellence", "Needs Some Coaching", "Needs Major Coaching", "Not Applicable". I would like to be able to assign a numerical value (score) for each item that is summed as a total grade at end.
Is this possible within forms or will I have to invoke a backend automation process to accomplish this?
It would be extremely nice to have this option within the actual form itself, if it's not already there and I've just missed it.

StaWM I don't think there is any sensible way to do this with Forms, but it is very easy with a flow in Power Automate to then save the result to a list in SharePoint.

RobElliott Could you explain how to do this? I have never used Power Automate but do want to add the results to a SharePoint list and be able to count the N/A selection in a way that does not take away points but rather distributes the points left between the other choices.
i.e., If I have ten questions, each with a 1-point value. In an eval, if I get 9 "Yes" and 1 "N/A", the final score desired would still be 10 - (9 out of 9 correct answers).
I now get nine since I have the "Yes" marked as the correct answer. I tried check-marking the "N/A" as a second right answer, although that inflates the score, and I rather not.

vrhoades sorry I don't understand this, what do you mean by "distributes the points left between the other choices"?
