Time Increments Logic Inconsistent
What is going on with the logic behind time increments changing non-stop?
Prior to late Feb: My staff used to be able to receive bookings starting at whatever time they were first available to work for a day. With 1 hour time increments and a 1 hour duration, staff who were available starting at 9:30am would show as available for customers as follows: 9:30am, 10:30am, 11:30am, and so on.
As of Late Feb: The logic changed out of the blue, and Microsoft bookings updated the definition of this setting to indicate that a 1-hour time increment means sessions can only begin at the top of the hour. Suddenly, my staff with availability starting at 9:30 now was only bookable at 10:00am, 11:00am, and so on. Because this wasted 30 minutes of staff available time, we changed time increments to 30 minutes to allow customers to book with staff on the half hour and hour. We also and retrained our staff on how to reblock their availability with this new policy and our same buffer time setting in mind.
Today: The logic of time increments changed yet again today, reverting back to how it was prior to late February. Now, with the same 30-minute time increment and 1 hour duration, suddenly staff members are showing as available whenever their work day starts – for some staff, customer see appointment availability slots such as at 10:50am or 2:15pm vs. just the half hour or hour.
I’m so tired of retraining staff and updating settings. Before we overhaul practices with staff yet again, can someone please clarify which of the above is the intended logic? Which is the bug / defect? When will the defect be addressed?
