Bookings Restrictions to select groups

I've created a page to manage events of my staff and I am deploying this for my peers too. 

The requirement of some colleagues means multiple people can attend but not from the same department.

Is there a known method to allow availability to book a scheduled event as long as another member of their team are not also scheduled for the event?

The aim is that multiple departments use the same page but maximum of one user per department at any given time are available for these events.
