Webcam use while video-recording a PowerPoint Presentation

I have Office Home + Student 2019. I successfully recorded a PowerPoint presentation on my PC using its internal cam and mic. I then tried to use an external webcam (which the laptop recognized and it works with Zoom) but I couldn’t get PowerPoint to use it. How do I get PowerPoint to recognize the webcam? Are all webcams compatible? Thanks.
