bullet points - align text

Dear,

i have a curiosity. When i write with bullet points

for example like this

* I am writing

something

"

i would like the 2nd line to be aligned with the text to the first line, and not aligned with the bullet point as in the case i exemplified.

more like this:

"

* i am writing

  something

"
