Set language for transcription before a meeting?

Hi! Is it possible to somehow set a preferred language for transcriptions in teams meetings other than english? And is it possible to set the language for the meeting somehow beforehand?

Yes, in Microsoft Teams, you can set a preferred language for meeting transcriptions, but this option is currently limited in flexibility:

As of the latest updates, meeting participants can change the transcription or caption language during the meeting, but this cannot always be set in advance. Here’s how to do it:

Start the transcription or live captions in the meeting.

Select More actions (the three dots) on the meeting toolbar, then go to Language and speech > Change spoken language.

Choose the preferred language. This should change the language of the captions/transcriptions to the selected language for that session.

    Pre-Meeting Setup (for Organizers):
If you are the meeting organizer, you may also be able to set the transcription language by default in the meeting options or adjust it in the Microsoft Teams admin settings. However, the availability of languages and ability to preset them may vary based on your organization’s settings.

Microsoft Teams admins can enable and control language options for live captions and transcriptions at the tenant level. Admins can also allow certain languages to be available or restrict them based on organizational needs. If you require more language options, you may need to contact your Teams administrator to ensure these are enabled.

Select the spoken language at the start of the meeting.

Hi, exactly how/where can the Teams admin select the default language to something else than English?
