Request for Copilot Pro Discount for Non-Commercial Advocacy & Legacy User
Hello Microsoft Community,
My name is Bob Maarschalkerweerd, and I’ve been a Microsoft user since DOS 2.0 on an IBM 8088 in 1982. I’ve worked as a Systems Engineer and Active Directory Architect (2005–2018), and now in retirement, I continue building diagnostic tools and GUI-based scripts to stay mentally engaged.
I live in Fearrington Village, NC, where I serve as the IT lead for the Fearrington Village Singers, archiving 30 years of digital history. I also advocate for responsible AI use in my community and help others understand how tools like Copilot can empower creativity and productivity.
I’m deeply interested in Copilot Pro but live on a fixed Social Security income. I respectfully ask if Microsoft offers discounted access for non-commercial users like myself who are passionate about learning, advocacy, and legacy support.

Hey Bob, I’m not aware of anything for individuals.
But if you’re part of a nonprofit, you may want to have a look at what’s available through Microsoft’s Nonprofit programs. There are eligibility requirements that you’ll need to meet:
