Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat for Personal subscription

Hi, I am using a Microsoft 365 Personal subscription.  I use the Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat application that is in my Microsoft 365 environment, and I also have a Copilot PRO subscription.

Unfortunately, there is no way to add attachments on the chat, and there is no connection to One Drive. I have seen in various articles that on the right side some have the ability to create AI agents.

Does anyone know why I don't have the mentioned features in Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat?

I looked for information on Microsoft's website and it may be because the business version of Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat has more features than the version for people with Personal subscriptions.

Does anyone happen to have information on whether Microsoft plans to expand the capabilities of Microsoft 465 Copilot Chat for Personal subscriptions?

    I actually replied to your other thread as well, but just to add a bit more here:

    You're absolutely right. The Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat experience with a Personal subscription (even with Copilot Pro) currently has some limitations compared to the business version.
    ➔ Features like attachments, direct OneDrive access, and creating AI agents are available for business users who have Microsoft 365 Copilot for Enterprise and Copilot Studio.

    As for the future plans:
    So far, Microsoft hasn't shared an official timeline or confirmation about bringing these features to Personal users. They are expanding Copilot capabilities quite actively, but today the Personal/Pro version is still a lighter experience compared to the enterprise one.

    Totally understand why you're asking, I really hope they consider it too! It would make Copilot Pro a lot more powerful for everyday use. 🚀

    Microsoft 365 Personal + Copilot Pro:

    Access to Copilot Chat powered by GPT-4o for general AI assistance.

    No support for file attachments within the chat interface.

    Limited or no integration with OneDrive for file access within Copilot Chat.

    AI agent creation and management features are not included.​

    Microsoft 365 Business/Enterprise + Copilot:

    Enhanced Copilot Chat capabilities, including integration with Microsoft Graph, allowing access to organizational data across Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.

    Support for file attachments and references within chats.

    Ability to create and manage AI agents using Copilot Studio.

    Enterprise-grade security, compliance, and IT controls.​

    Alternatives and Workarounds
    If you're looking to leverage more advanced features:

    Upgrade to a Business Subscription: Consider transitioning to a Microsoft 365 Business Standard or Premium plan, which includes the enhanced Copilot features.

    Use Separate Work Accounts: If you have access to a work or school account with the appropriate subscription, you can utilize the full range of Copilot functionalities there.​
