Disable the Copilot icon prompt in Word
I don't want to entirely disable Copilot in Word - I like that I can click the button on the ribbon and launch it and use it when needed. However, is there a way to disable the icon that appears on the actual page of a new document (see image below)? [I can't tell you how many times I launch a new document and paste into the Copilot box instead of on the actual page. ] TIA! (If not possible, I'll make it a suggestion through the app/Feedback portal.)
- Bipin-prakashBrass ContributorI don't believe that feature exists yet. You could make a feature request https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-copilot-for-service/idb-p/MicrosoftCopilotService-Ideas . I am sure soon, you will be able to add personas, customize ribbons etc. I don't see anything in the roadmap for that either, granted I have only given it a cursory look https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=Microsoft%20Copilot%20for%20Microsoft%20365.
Best,
bp- TampaDTPMicrosoftOK, thanks BP - I'll make a feature request as you mentioned. Appreciate your help!

I see in the existing thread where a solution was supposed to have been found, but, thus far, I have found no way to eliminate the floating CoPilot icon in Word except by removing CoPilot completley. (Which I am now leaning towards) I can go online for Ai without dealing with this issue. Do you know if there is a way to remove the floating icon without removing CoPilot?
